Bio

Suzette enjoys STEM and the humanities. She loves solving math and coding problems, but she also loves discussing politics, economics and fiction. Recently, she has become interested in how people and governments rise to power and how seemingly unrelated events can end up reshaping the world. She would like to study societal issues—from authoritarianism to the growing distrust of science and evidence—through a math lens. She plays basketball and soccer and is an avid fan of professional soccer and Formula 1. In her spare time, she dabbles in sports analytics and also enjoys writing and playing piano.
