Bio

Smriti is interested in computational approaches to language, music and other structured systems, especially ideas related to information theory, data structures and optimization. She has also independently worked on applying vision transformers to satellite imagery of natural disasters in her research with the xBD dataset. Smriti is a writer and illustrator for her school paper and is captain of the quiz bowl team. In her free time, Smriti likes to read, create playlists and play badminton.
