Rakhi Jain
Bio
Rakhi is fascinated by how data science, geography, and applied physics can be used to model and improve real-world systems—especially in communities that face structural inequities. Her interest in topics like human geography and entrepreneurship stems from her desire to use computational tools not just to understand the world. As a passionate member of her school's rocketry club and an advocate for women in STEM, Rakhi is drawn to projects that combine scientific rigor with social impact. She also enjoys writing essays and poems that explore the human side of science, and she sees simulation and storytelling as two powerful ways to make complex ideas more accessible and actionable. Some of her favorite books include A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, The Calculus of Friendship by Steven Strogatz, and Contact by Carl Sagan. In her downtime, she enjoys detective shows like White Collar and Sherlock.
