Julia Gao
Bio
Julia is a sophomore from Colorado passionate about STEM, physics, and computer science. She is the Colorado lead for the Mustang Math Tournament and a member of the DarkSky International Development Committee, where she is dedicatedly working to support dark sky conservation and light pollution mitigation efforts in Colorado. However, she is most interested in research, particularly at the intersection between physics and computer science. She is currently interning at Colorado State University, in joint with Fermilab National Laboratory studying sterile neutrinos — the hypothetical particle which could expand the Standard Model of physics, and could be a primary component of dark matter. Julia is also a varsity singles tennis player and music lover.
