Pyokyeong Son
Bio
Pyokyeong Son is a rising senior at Saint Maur International School in Yokohama, Japan. He is the president of his high school's student council and also the Robotics Club, as well as the captain for the JV Basketball team. Pyokyeong is interested in various academic subjects, participating in the regional Speech Contest with a silver award in extemporaneous speech, the Brain Bowl and History Bowl competition with an All-Stars award, as well as recently being awarded the Harvard Book Prize. He is, though, particularly passionate about mathematics and computer science, self-teaching programming since elementary school, and participating in the Google Foobar Challenge and Code Jam. Recently, he was awarded First Prize in the regional Math Field Day competition, and a Judge's award in the VEX Robotics Competition in ASIJ. In his free time, Pyokyeong enjoys fiddling with his home server, listening to music, or drawing on his tablet. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in the field of cryptography and artificial intelligence, hoping to enhance and enrich people's lives.
