Bio

Shiv is a high-school student whose academic interests include mathematics, computer science and robotics. His research on algorithms for traffic control, swarm robotics and the analysis of COVID-19 spread using graph theory exemplifies these interests. He is the lead programmer on his school's FRC team and is passionate about solving real-world problems using technology. After a fire in his apartment building, Shiv designed and built SENSAFE, an IoT-enabled flammable-gas sensor, and programmed a 3D video game to raise fire-safety awareness in his city. At any given moment, you might find him solving a mathematics Olympiad problem, learning about a data structure or playing a game of chess. Shiv also loves volunteering at NGOs and giving back to his community by teaching younger students how to code.
