Bio

Omar is seventeen and from Lima, PerĂº, and currently attends Fab Academy, a digital fabrication course. He loves math, physics, computer science, philosophy, and art. He wanted to be a painter until he turned twelve and (accidentally) read a book that introduced him to kinematics. He became interested in researching accelerated rectilinear motion and developed an iterative arithmetic algorithm that only employed the basic operators (instead of using equations), because he wanted to comprehend movement with pictures intuitively. He later turned this algorithm in a Google Store app (named TAWA) when he was fifteen. In 2014, he developed "An algorithm to find the formulae of geometric sequences of n-order". He is building an automatic 3D scanner for his final Fab Academy project. He describes himself as a warm, curious, and empathetic person. He enjoys dancing salsa, playing the guitar, writing poetry, dating girls, running, and surfing. He was awarded an academic scholarship to attend the University of Richmond this fall.
