Bio

Since her master’s studies, Xuelian Liu has focused on battery energy storage, developing innovative materials and methods for high-performance lithium-ion, sodium-ion, and zinc-ion batteries, as well as supercapacitors. Her research aims to achieve eco-friendliness throughout the lifecycle of these devices, from material sourcing to disposal. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at Silklab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University, she is delving into biomaterials for electrochemical energy storage. Additionally, she is enhancing her expertise by learning Python and Wolfram programming languages, and exploring data science and machine learning for battery material discovery and electrolyte interactions in metal-ion batteries.
