Bio

Glen Halley is an electrical engineer who has spent the last twenty years working at City Utilities in Springfield, Missouri in electric power system engineering. He creates order tracking, project management, design, and load/capacity estimation tools using Wolfram System Modeler and Mathematica, Microsoft SQL, and Visual Basic for Applications. He is a voting member of their regional transmission organization, utilizing a model of the central USA power grid to ensure reliable power supply and adequate transmission infrastructure. He designed a translation tool to utilize OpenIPSL library that runs in System Modeler. He presented his work at Wolfram Technology Conference in 2022. The collaborative project was published as an IEEE paper and presented at SpliTech conference in 2024.
