Dugan is a mathematician and artist from Texas. After graduating from UT Austin he went on to UMass Amherst and Univeristy of Tubingen, Germany to pursue graduate studies and conduct research in minimal surfaces. Dugan has talent for geometric visualization and specializes in finding new ways to visualize hyperdimensional shapes. He also is an expert in computing mathematical quasicrystals and aperiodic tilings.
