Charles Woodrum is a mathematician and computational scientist primarily focusing on quantum computing and algorithm development. He earned his bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from the Ohio State University and recently completed his Master’s degree in applied mathematics, focusing on quantum phase estimation. He also has a wide variety of interests that include research in random regression forests, statistics for medicine, and natural language processing on ancient languages like Latin and Greek. Along the way, he has always been an avid user of Mathematica for both personal and professional use, constantly finding new and interesting computational problems to work on. In his spare time he enjoys learning languages, singing ancient music, running, cooking, and contemplating his next research project.
