Bing Yang, a trained architect and research assistant hailing from Hong Kong, earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from ETH Zurich, Switzerland. With a deep appreciation for the history of art and architecture, she has pursued her interests across Europe, Central, and East Asia. Currently serving at the University of Hong Kong, Bing is exploring the innovative concept of Circular Architecture. This distinctive approach involves viewing the built environment as potential ‘material banks’, emphasizing sustainability and reuse. Bing’s interests further encompass Digital Humanities and Geographic Information System (GIS). She attempts to construct a semantic web of the built environment with the help of Wolfram Language and Mathematica. She enjoys traveling and immersing herself in diverse cultures and cuisines in her leisure time. As a participant in the Wolfram Summer School 2023, Bing looks forward to delving further into the intersection of digital tools and architectural practices.
