Bio

Ivan Martinez graduated in engineering physics with highest honors from Tec de Monterrey. During his undergraduate research, he studied optical systems and its connection with supersymmetry quantum mechanics. After taking a course on solid-state physics, Ivan became fascinated by how the principles of quantum mechanics could predict macroscopic properties of solids and was quickly attracted to condensed matter. He will start his graduate studies at McGill University with a research focus in condensed matter theory.
