Bio

Humood graduated with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering with a double minor in chemistry and environmental engineering from Penn State University in 2019. His research background and interests include synthetic biology, biophysics and metabolic engineering. He will be continuing his studies in chemical engineering at the University of Washington in the fall of 2021. He hopes to use his expertise in biotech to aid in Kuwait’s transition into an economy less reliant on fossil fuels as well as facilitating a cross-disciplinary approach to problem solving in the country. Outside of academia, Humood enjoys reading philosophy, playing Super Smash Bros. and traveling.
