Project: Biological Morphogenesis

At the beginning, we are all just a single cell. Imagine for a second this miraculous process: how do such large and complex systems as human beings come from one single cell? How do the millions of cells become arranged into exact structures? How do they communicate? How do they know their place in this huge machine of life? These are the questions for which this project will attempt to find keys.

There are many kinds of creatures, and all of them have a lot of important differences. In this project I will model the growth process of trilobites. The trilobite is one of the oldest creatures on Earth, and unfortunately is an extinct species. Well, let’s try to bring it back to life!
