Bio

Juan Carlos has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in emerging computers. He is a specialist of internet application development, management, leads, and web applications.

Juan has participated in numerous developments, each with different technology, in Java, J2ee, .Net, PHP, MySQL, Progress, Microsoft, Oracle, SOAP, and Web Service, as project leader or project management. The previous work was given support and maintenance data to a data warehouse application for the business intelligence department of the Provincial Bank of Venezuela.

He has been a manager of technology or project leader for major consulting firms in interesting projects in Venezuela and many other areas, with the majority of organizations focusing on internet technology.

Juan Carlos likes studying English, playing basketball, cellular automata, and math.

He is a fan of cellular automata since his thesis on cellular automata simulator binary 1D, 2D and 3D. He has been studying CA for several years and methods to be efficiently implemented with computers since 1996.

Project: Cellular Automata Complex (Class IV) in 2d with Moore Neighborhood

I’ll build a notebook that, given a set of cellular automata that may be complex (Class IV) in 2d with Moore neighborhood, allows the user to take a set of cellular automata by grouping variables, obtaining different groups, filtering, viewing, and marking those in which some interesting behavior is observed. This tool should look for gliders, specially big gliders.

Additionally, I will try to find lifelike 3D cellular automata that are symmetric.
