I was born in San Gabriel, Ecuador. I studied physics at the National Polytechnic School in Quito, and I am finishing a degree in mathematics at the same university. I work as a researcher at the Astronomical Observatory of Quito and as a teacher at a university. I am interested in theoretical physics, quantum field theories, and string theories. I am researching the ways in which probability is influenced by a high field. I am also interested in learning the physical mechanism behind cellular automata. I like to practice soccer and I go to the gym every day.

Project: The Inverse Problem in Cellular Automata

This project was made in order to try to answer the following question: If there is a pattern made of an unknown rule and an unknown initial condition, how can we determine the rule and the initial condition of that pattern? In nature, we see a lot of patterns made by the natural forces that govern our universe. However, if we want to study the forms that we see in nature, we should be able to identify in some way the cellular automaton rules that are behind a given pattern.

If we choose a target sequence of a given length n, we can compare this sequence with all possible sequences produce by all elementary cellular automata (ECA) and consider all possible initial states for a CA size 2n-1.
