Bio

Ian is a high-school student with a variety of interests ranging from sustainability to neuroscience. In school, he is heavily involved as a form representative of the sustainability council and as a branch leader in the school's programming club. He has used the Wolfram Language to develop different projects for the past three years' science and engineering fairs, with the most recent being a novel system of sound source localization for rescue drones using signal processing. He is currently working with a neuroscientist to analyze electrical signals, differentiating neuronal activity from background noise in a process called spike-sorting. Ian also plays trumpet at an international level and plays varsity tennis. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and playing with his dog.
