Chandra Gangavarapu

Class of 2020


Chandra Gangavarapu greatly enjoys math, physics and computer science. She has qualified for the AIME as well as Math Prize for Girls. Chandra is an avid programmer and currently does machine learning research for schizophrenia prediction at NorthShore University HealthSystem. She is the founder and president of Music Box Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for mental health by providing musical opportunities, which she started in 2019. Chandra is an Indian classical dancer, a violinist in the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra and a singer.
