Bio

Amy Li attends Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas, and will be a sophomore in the 2017–2018 school year. She is an active member of her school's Mu Alpha Theta chapter, She's the First club and Asian Student Association. She enjoys solving math problems and programming. Amy excelled in the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC), the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME), the Math Prize for Girls at MIT, the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament (HMMT) and the American Regions Mathematics League (ARML). She and her teammates just won the Texas state championship in Number Sense and Mathematics in both the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) and the University Interscholastic League (UIL). Amy played in her school's honor band, and also runs cross-country and track and field. Amy has experience with C++ and JavaScript, and learned Mathematica on her own. She hopes to pursue a career in computer science or engineering.
