Bio

Chirasmita Kompella is a rising senior at Issaquah High School in Issaquah, Washington. She is passionate about technology, medicine, business and aeronautics. As the founder and president of Issaquah's NASA Student Rocket Launch team, she works to bring more of her peers into the field of space exploration. Additionally, she is a Washington Aerospace Scholar partnered with the Museum of Flight and NASA. Heavily involved in Issaquah’s Associated Student Body and class council, Mita currently serves as the high-school representative for the Issaquah Schools Foundation and District Levy Board. In her free time, Mita enjoys dancing, baking, hiking and singing Hindustani classical music. She hopes to major in biomedical engineering and eventually pursue a medical degree.
