Bio

Sophia Balkovski is a sophomore at University High School in Irvine, California. She has always had an interest in languages and their study, and has recently learned to code in Python and Java. She speaks Russian and German and is learning Spanish and French. She has participated in various competitions such as the local science fair, MIT INSPIRE and the Academic Decathlon. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, playing piano, reading and going to the beach. She loves traveling to different countries, and would like to travel the world. In the future, she hopes to become a professor of linguistics or computer science.
