Bio

I'm a seventeen-year-old rising senior at Gunn High School in California. I have always had an interest in STEM subjects, specifically in physics, mathematics, and programming. I plan to study an engineering field in college and will most likely major in computer science. I spend the majority of my free time playing tennis with my brothers, making and fixing websites, or simply learning something new.

Project: "War" Simulation

This project represents a sample simulation of the card game "War." A user has the following options: set the number of cards dealt per computer player, play a new game, or draw some cards. The game is automatically set up between two computer players, where the objective is to gain as many cards as possible by drawing a card that has a higher numerical value than the other card; an ace counts as the highest. If there are two card values that are the same, there will be three more cards drawn face down (not shown in project) and one more card face up (shown in project), while incrementing the counter by one. In addition, if there are two cards of the same value, players whose totals that are less than four will make the next draw by simply taking the next card from the deck(s) and placing it on the screen.
