Frequently Asked Questions
Who can attend the Wolfram Middle School Summer Camp?
Girls (including young people who identify as girls, gender nonconforming individuals and students who were assigned female at birth) who are 11 to 14 years of age. Students should have an interest and background in a STEM subject, but computer science and coding skills are not required.
Who should attend the Wolfram High School Summer Research Program instead?
Students in high school are encouraged to attend the Wolfram High School Summer Research Program. If you are interested in joining the High School Summer Research Program but are younger than 14, you are encouraged to attend the Middle School Summer Camp and apply to the High School Summer Research Program in a future year.
Students who are 14 years old and apply for the Wolfram Middle School Summer Camp will be automatically assessed for both programs and may be offered a place in the High School Summer Research Program instead. Those offered a place in both programs are not able to complete both in the same year and must choose which program to attend.
Who leads the Middle School Summer Camp?
A team of Wolfram Education experts will be running the Middle School Summer Camp. This team will include older students who attended the Wolfram High School Summer Research Program in previous years and have proven their excellent Wolfram Language abilities.
