Júlia is a Brazilian Computer Science student at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, where she developed a strong interest in cellular automata, topic introduced in a university class. The complexity emerged by simple rules led her to choose cellular automata as the focus of her undergraduate thesis.

Her academic journey has been diverse, including her participation in programming competitions, such as the Code Marathon (where she reached the Brazilian finals!), as well as hackathons and research on the field of data analysis.

As a participant in the Wolfram Summer School, she looks forward to deepening her knowledge of Mathematica and cellular automata, and to using this experience to refine and advance her thesis project.
