Willem Nielsen attended Vassar College where he earned a BA in Computer Science. He then worked at a youth sports company creating innovative technological solutions to longstanding problems in the youth sports industry. Outside of work he did research on randomness in basketball supporting the claim that College Basketball is not a game of runs and providing another example of how humans are “Fooled by Randomness”. He is interested in using computational tools to research, solve and model problems in youth sports.
