Bio

Juan Sebastián Molano received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia, in 2018. He worked on quantum dynamical models to study the photoassociation of cold atoms under a microwave laser field. Juan Sebastián is part of an active research group, directed by professor Carlos A. Arango from Universidad Icesi, that is working on the use of semiclassical mechanics and stability analysis of the Schrödinger equation to find and study quantum states of rotationally excited molecules. Juan Sebastián is interested in pursuing a PhD degree in chemical physics or chemical mathematics related to topics such as quantum dynamics, molecular spectroscopy, quantum information or molecular computation.
