Bio

My name is Petr D. Andriushchenko. I’m graduated from Far Eastern Federal University with a master’s degree in computer security. Currently, I have been working in the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the same university since 2011. At this time, I conduct my research in two directions. The first direction is magnetic phase transitions and ordering in the 2D lattice Ising model. The second direction is modeling of magnetoactive elastomer reactions in a uniform external magnetic field. My computer skills in programming languages: C/C++, C# (with libraries MPI, Qt Framework), Mathematica, and others. My interests: Machine learning, neural networks, brain work, the Turing test, complexity theory, and cellular automata.

Project: Text Tokenization

The main objective of this project is creating a function that can tokenize a given text into letters, words, phrases, sentences, and chapters. An initial implementation would be provided that analyzes the text to tokenize it with special regard for complex cases like periods within sentences and dashes inside of words. A future or potential expansion of this project could allow this program to process non-English languages (this would be especially interesting for languages with optional spaces between words like Chinese and Japanese).
