Mohamed Al-Emam majored in computers and systems engineering and minored in control systems engineering at Mansoura University, Faculty of Engineering, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Aug 2010. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in control systems engineering at Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering. His research there strives to contribute to the modeling of nonlinear, complex, and chaotic systems. His areas of competence includes system evolution, abiogenesis, genetics computability, complexity, swarm, self-organization, chaos, fractals, and irreducible dynamical systems. His wider academic interests are control engineering, computer engineering, artificial inelegance, programming, mathematics, and embedded systems. He believes that the whole world is an equation! His model is the Muslim scientist Al-Khwarizmi.
Project: Investigation Of The Relation Between Nonlinear Dynamical Systems And Elementary Cellular Automata
We will investigate Leon Chua's formalism of mapping between nonlinear dynamical systems and simple programs. We will start from his first out of six parts, which concentrates on ECAs. The final goal is to see whether any generalizations or applications of the formalism are possible for further studies of simple programs from the NKS perspective.
