Bio

Fizza has completed her undergraduate studies in computer science with a double minor in mathematics and electrical engineering from Habib University, Karachi, Pakistan. Her senior year thesis was to develop a mobile application that dispatches and tracks lifesavers to cardiac arrest and trauma incidents. Currently, she is working at Empathic Computing lab as a research associate where her main role is using machine learning to determine cognitive load through a VR game setup. In her recent paper published in IEEE, she worked on a poet attribution of Urdu Ghazals (Poetry) using transformer-based models. She aims to pursue a master’s degree in artificial intelligence and create AI powered applications that help masses. Besides science, she enjoys watching anime and traveling.
