Bio

Tiyasa is a second-year Ph.D. student in Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), under the guidance of Dr. Flip Phillips. Her research interests primarily lie in the field of computer vision and machine learning, with a recent focus on reinforcement learning. Specifically, she delves into the realm of object tracking systems. Tiyasa holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in signal and image processing, which she obtained from RIT in 2020. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2018. From an early age, Tiyasa has a profound affinity for mathematics, and she thoroughly enjoys courses such as Digital Signal Processing, Information Theory, Pattern Recognition and Random Signal and Noise. During her leisure time, Tiyasa enjoys listening to music, reading books, and occasionally pursue her hobby of writing in vernacular.
