Bio

Hengyuan Xu is an undergraduate student of Applied Physics at Donghua University in China. Through his involvement in cutting-edge research at the Lab of Complex Plasma, he has gradually developed a strong interest in complex systems. He is particularly interested in applying agent-based models and the Ising model to explore various domains, including financial markets and the investigation of system phase transitions.He believes that attending the Wolfram Summer School will provide him with a fresh perspective on exploring the fundamental principles of complex systems. He anticipates that this experience will enhance his research skills and deepen his familiarity with the field. Upon completion of his undergraduate program, he plans to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree, allowing him to further delve into captivating questions within the realm of complex systems or statistical physics.
