Bio

Emma Yang is 13 years old and a rising ninth grader who is passionate about mathematics, computer science and technology innovation. Emma started coding at six years old and has experience with HTML/CSS web development, MIT App Inventor, Java and Swift. She is currently developing an iOS app called Timeless, which simplifies communication, contacts and photos for Alzheimer's patients. Emma joined the Wolfram Mentorships Program in 2016. She is also a member of her school's robotics team, and runs a coding club where she teaches middle schoolers how to develop mobile apps using MIT App Inventor. She is an active advocate for girls pursuing STEM. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano and cello, biking, reading, watching movies and eating all sorts of food.
