Bio

A rising junior at Maggie L. Walker Governor's School, Taha Shaikh is a huge fan of anything STEM. He has qualified for the FIRST Robotics team nationals on his school's robotics team, the Mech Tech Dragons, and is an officer of several clubs, including the investment club, TSA, Bhangra club and Deadbeats (an a cappella group). He has also won the National Guild high-school diploma for piano and plays baritone saxophone in his school jazz band and with VCU music. Along with playing music, Taha loves to compose and engineer his own songs. In 2015, he worked with Kerning Cultures, a nonprofit podcast based in the Middle East, and helped them incorporate music into their work. Currently, he is working on his own startup, rvaBlue, which helps small businesses get on their feet. Taha is also a part of his school's cross-country team, track team and hacky sack club. He has an interest in programming, and knows Python, Lua and Java. In his free time, he likes to hang out with friends, listen to 80s music and write in the third person.
