Bio

Sarah Hong is an "epistemophilic" senior at Korea International School (KIS) with an innate desire to please her inner curiosity. Her academic passions lie in mathematics and science, especially statistics and biology. She has been a member of the Math Competition Club and a peer math tutor for the past four years. Recently developing an interest in big data and programming/coding, Sarah wishes to follow in her family's footsteps in the field of medicine and healthcare by developing an app that will enable patients to have easier access to broad, exact and detailed health-related data. In order to reach her goals, she participated in Johns Hopkins University's CTY Summer Program in Fast-Paced High School Biology during her freshman year and attended the Wolfram Summer Research Program in June 2017. Besides her academic endeavors, Sarah loves sports (she is a swimming team captain and an advanced skier) and volunteering at local orphanages and shelters.
