Isaac Chandler

Bio

Isaac Chandler is in the middle of Year 11 (equivalent to the North American 10th grade) at Kerikeri High School in New Zealand's rural Far North. He used Mathematica for his regional science fair entries in 2015 and 2016. The 2015 project about monitoring home energy usage won the fair and was published by Wolfram on Medium. In 2016, he won gold using machine learning to determine which side of the road a car was driving on. He led his team to four consecutive wins at the annual Northland Mathex mathematics competition, and has been first in New Zealand in the ICAS mathematics competition. He enjoys mathematics and computer programming, particularly 3D graphics. He writes Java, Lua, C++ and a bit of Mathematica. In his spare time, he likes to play video games.
