Bio

My name is Chelsea Chen and I'm sixteen years old. I come from China and go to high school in South Carolina. As for my personality, I consider myself a little bit introverted, but I'm excited to make friends with and learn from the other campers at Mathematica Summer Research Program. Equestrianism and math have always been two big parts of my life. Although I led my team to several achievements in math meets and was selected to be on the SC All-State Math Team, I still have a great deal to improve upon and learn.

Project: Dual Tessellation

Tiling different regular polygons forms different tessellations. By connecting the centers of the polygons in an original tessellation, a new layer of tessellations consisting of different types of polygons forms on top of the original one. Thus, we have a dual tessellation pattern.
