Francisco Javier Rodríguez Arias

Manager, WRSA Advanced Projects

Francisco studied physics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He joined Wolfram Research in 2009, where he started to work in Wolfram|Alpha. Since then, he's worked in a variety of projects related to Wolfram|Alpha and the Wolfram Language. He is currently part of a team of managers in the Wolfram|Alpha localization project and the linguistic-related functions in the Wolfram Language. He is also part of the Wolfram geographic team, which is responsible for map-related services.

César Guerra

Manager, WRSA Programming

César studied physics at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. While studying his master's degree, he developed a Mathematica package to do quantum calculations in the fields of quantum optics and quantum computing. In 2005, he attended the Wolfram Summer School and worked on an NKS project about substitution systems capable of doing arithmetical calculations. He joined Wolfram Research in 2010, and since then has worked on diverse projects. He is currently managing the geopolitical and geographical data team.

Christian Pasquel

Manager, WRSA Connectivity

Christian Pasquel was part of the first group to join the Wolfram Research South America offices in Lima, Perú, in 2012. He has a physics background, and has been working on research since 2009. He currently leads the ServiceConnect group in working on connecting the Wolfram Language to external services. His interests include evolutionary biology, astrobiology, artificial intelligence, music, films, playing with data and everything tech related. A self-proclaimed Wolfram fan, he works on different personal original projects using Mathematica. He is a cat lover, and had the main part in an official music video available online.

Rodrigo Velarde

Senior Research Programmer

Rodrigo Velarde has been working with Wolfram Research South America since 2012, becoming a senior research programmer in 2015. He has a degree in informatics engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has previously worked at IBM and other informatics consulting jobs. As an avid history fan, he's now directing the efforts for the historical and date/time features in Wolfram|Alpha. His hobbies involve sword-based Japanese and European martial arts, long wiki walks and gathering obscure references and spoilers for future use.
