Aaron is a recent graduate of Macalester College, with majors in Linguistics and Mathematics. A lover of languages, he speaks English, Hebrew, some German, and bits of Hungarian and Hmong. His research in Solid Angle Theory won an Outstanding Presentations Award at the Joint Math Meetings in 2012. Currently, Aaron is interested in pursuing a career in computational linguistics. Specifically, he is interested in developing tools to identify grammatical patterns using as little information as possible.
In his free time, Aaron enjoys playing and watching soccer, going to jazz concerts, and backpacking.
Project: Natural Language Generation of Time Series Data
Given a plot of some time series data, the aim is to automatically "translate" the plot into natural language. This project is a continuation of past projects by Carlo Barbieri and Arnau Gavalda.
